Each year, the fifth graders of Pfaff Elementary are tasked with executing a service project that builds teamwork, fosters civic responsibility, and makes a positive impact on their community. This year, our students chose a project that is focused on care and compassion—helping their local animal shelter and new pet owners.

Students worked together to collect donations and assemble them into care packages for pets awaiting adoption. Not only did they bring in donations and organize them, they also decorated the bags and made thoughtful greeting cards with encouraging messages of joy for the intended pet owner. Donated items included pet clothing, food, and toys. Students worked carefully to ensure each bag contained a balanced assortment so that every animal and pet owner would receive something special.

Through their efforts, Pfaff’s fifth graders not only provided tangible support for local animals in need but also demonstrated empathy, teamwork, and a strong sense of community responsibility.
Well done, Pfaff Pumas! Your small acts of kindness are making a big impact in our community!
